I got upset every single time for my uncontrolled cellphone by battery. Customer Rating: Summary: This battery is WAY better than the stock battery!!!! Comment: I wasn't expecting much since other reviews said this battery wasn't any better than the factory battery, but I found that to be far from the truth. My factory battery (slim one) and the aftermarket slim batteries on my VX8600 all died within a day of being taken off the charger with a full charge. This was a nuissance since I'd have to keep it on the charger all the time to try to avoid it dying when I wasn't near a charger (be it car or home charger). This fat extended life battery may stick out about a centimeter from the rest of the phone but this is a small tradeoff for it staying alive for at least two days with light usage. My smaller batteries would all die within a day (well within a day at that even with little to no usage and with ev-do turned off - to turn off ev-do to save battery life on most phones you hit menu and then 0 and then i think 6 zeros and then go into the network select and then mode preference and then select 1x only) but this one is about half as good as the stock battery in my VX5300 which had an amazing battery that lasted a good week. I bought two of these fat batteries for my VX8600 and didn't even need to change it once on a 5 day camping trip with only an hour-long partial recharge in the car on the 3rd day. I also had 2 or 3 slim batteries with me, thinking I'd need them all to make it through the week. This is an amazing battery and a lifesaver for those who want to keep their VX8600 but can't take the short battery life of the slim battery. Also worth noting is that the fat battery doesn't feel much bigger in my pants pocket or even in my shirt pocket - it's more noticeable in the shirt pocket but still not too cumbersome.
