This new standard Memory Stick can be used with the lion's share of products available that are compatible with Memory Stick namely those that accept Memory Stick MagicGate Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO media. While maintaining compatibility with products incorporating a serial interface the new Memory Stick is also compatible with parallel interface products by simultaneously using multiple input/output terminals. This results in a readout speed four times faster than that of current standard Memory Stick media when combined with optimized host devices.

Comment: Sony has a monopoly when it comes to media to be used with their cameras because they do not accept other card formats. It usually costs at least 25% more per megabyte than other more universal formats - like SD cards.

Summary: Sony Memory Stick
Comment: I have an older Sony Camera that still works very well. But I could not locate the proper memory stick for the use in the camera until I saw them offered at Amazon.com. In the past I have tried other types of memory sticks in the camera when I was on a trip. But some times the pictures from the trip could not be downloaded from the off brand memory sticks.
Therefore since Amazon had them available our trip/vacations pictures have come out just great. Thanks for having these specific devices available on your site.

Comment: A 128 MB memory stick is a little on the small side, capacity wise but that's the largest stick my Sony camera would take. It work like it's supposed to and has a little write protect switch on it too. I probably should buy a new camera. I could get over twice the performance for half the money I paid for the camera I have now, but I'm cheap, so I'll wait until the old one breaks!
