Now you can program each handset to ring - or not - at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping.Everybody has become accustomed to Caller ID and its ability to let you see who's calling before you answer the phone. But what happens when you're already on the phone and another call comes in on Call Waiting? Until now, you wouldn't know who was beeping in unless you answered it. With Call Waiting Caller ID, you get the best of both worlds. So now when you get a beep, you can see who's calling before you answer. With one base handset included and the option of adding up to three additional handsets - all while using only one base and one phone jack - go ahead and put one in the den, the kitchen and the master bedroom so you won't have to make a run for it when the phone rings.Don't miss important calls when the ringer is off. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. So turn off the ringer and never miss a call.

Customer Rating: Summary: I would like to turn the ringer off Comment: You can turn the ringer off on the handset and even put it on Night Mode and the handset will not ring during Night Mode which you preset. But the base will always ring. I unplug the phone line from the base (and it does say "Check Phone Line" when I do that which is pretty awesome.)
Also the battery always shows three bars even when it's about to die.
Plusses, it is a a very good phone. I went across the street from my apartment building and received a phone call pretty clearly. No static.
You can save phone numbers that arrive even if your phonebook is full 0-9.
It has seven ringers and you can program a ring to a caller.
Customer Rating: Summary: Terrible Terrible Terrible Phone Comment: My husband bought these online because our old phone (5 Years old) was dying and not holding a charge. These phones not only do not hold a charge-but unless they are on the charger, they do not ring. Absolutely absurd!!!! What is the point in having a cordless if it HAS to remain on the cradle????
Customer Rating: Summary: Panasonic KX-TG431B Cordless is excellent Comment: I bought this phone off Amazon for around $30 and boy have I been impressed. I use it for conference calls and the speakerphone is clear as a bell. The reception is great anywhere in the house and it is compact and easy to use. Researched quite a few phones with answering machines and this by far was the best price with the best review.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good technology, above average design Comment: The phone has everything one needs at a price which is pretty reasonable. The design is better than many but finally would like 21st century design. It will probably arrive in 5 years in this part of the world.
Customer Rating: Summary: Decent cordless set Comment: This phone does the job. It's a good phone if you have limited desk space. Speaker phone works great and the ring volume is good esp if you're running around the house all day. The only problem I've got is that the handset display never syncs with the answering machine--it always tells me that I have a new voicemail even after deleting all messages; so the handset is not reliable in notifying me if I really got a new message or not. But overall, satisfied with phone.
