Customer Rating: Summary: Keeps the slim profile and protects phone Comment: I wanted the sleeve because I just wanted to be able to put the phone in my pocket without damaging it with loose change, or keys, or whatever. The soft leather pouch maintains the slim profile of the phone allowing me to do so. I was concerned that it would be padded too much and would create a bulge in the pocket of my slacks, but that wasn't the case. The inside of the pouch is soft and appears to be some variety of felt. The phone pictured in the pouch on the product page must be a Blackjack I, which I believe may be a centimeter or 2 longer than the Blackjack II. I say this because my Blackjack II does not stick out of the top of the pouch as much as the phone in the picture; the top of the phone is flush with the top edges of the pouch.
The little lip on the the front of the Blackjack II just above the screen is a perfect fingernail grip for taking the phone out of the case in quick fashion.
I've had it for well over a month, and I just looked inside of it and I didn't even find any of the crumbs I was expecting to find! I've used the space behind the back side of the phone when the phone is in the pouch to slip in quick post-it notes that didn't warrant creating a notes list entry too.
As an added bonus, my video Ipod fits perfectly in the case as well. Minus the fingernail grip on the front of the Ipod as in the BJII to extract it from the case, it's an alternative to paying what's probably double the price for a sleeve from Apple.
If you remember to lock your phone's keys, you'll enjoy the simple yet effective design of this pouch.
Customer Rating: Summary: Almost Perfect Comment: After doing some research and familiarizing myself with the wide array of pouches available for the BJII. I decided I did not want a pouch that was so clunky it will defeat the purpose of owning such a slim cellphone or some plastic sleeve that ruined the phone's simple design.
I found 2 options that best suit my objectives: the sleeve included in the Apple iPhone Classic and the reviewed pouch. Apple doesn't sell these sleeves so I ended up purchasing the Samsung pouch.
The actual review:
The black leather exterior is a great match to the "slick" aesthetic of the BJII and the felt interior allows the phone to slide in and out of the pouch with ease. The little concavity at the top is also a nice detail that helps you pull the phone easily.
Overall, I am very pleased with this pouch but I do I have 1 complaint: If you own a BlackJack II you may know that the headphone/recharger connector is at the side. There is no slit or hole that allows these cables to plug into the phone without partially pulling the cell phone out of the pouch. This might be specially frustrating if you intend on listening to music using the plug-in stereo headphones.
Customer Rating: Summary: Happy with product Comment: Product shipped on time as described. It's simple, slim, and fits nicely into a purse or pocket. Most importantly, it protects my Blackjack!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Comment: Leather Pouch was exactly what I expected. It is thin enough to easily keep the phone in my pocket but provides some protection from getting scratched and bumped.
Customer Rating: Summary: Blackjack II Case Comment: I got two leather cases. The pocket pouch fits okay but the quality is not that good because one of them the sewing thread is kinda loose.
