Customer Rating: Summary: Don't do business with Sony Comment: I had heard the rumours too: that once you buy it, they don't care.
It's true. They will say anything that sounds peachy, delivery dates, custom configurations, etc. I had given them another chance recently and it's the same story.
Their TV's are great, but they just don't really care about you, their bread and butter. The bloatware that comes with it is pretty terrible too. It was easier to just buy a new copy of windows Vista and overwrite all their trialware than it was to remove it all (which you never fully will).
I'm done with them, there are plenty of good alternatives.. Customer Rating: Summary: Old technology with poor support Comment: I received this on a Friday. By Saturday, I had requested an RMA from Amazon and Monday saw it winging its way back. The laptop didn't have the components it was listed as having and there hadn't been a driver update for the system in over a year.
This is probably a good laptop for doing word processing and maybe giving presentations, but its lack of support doesn't speak well of Sony in general or this laptop in specific. Customer Rating: Summary: don't buy sony Comment: I own a Vaio and so does my girlfriend. Unbelievably, her charger does not work on my Vaio, and vice versa. Further, the Vaio does not accept SD cards so you have to carry a converter, plus, most ridiculously, my Sony video camera's memory stick does not fit Sony's memoery stick. Sony has produced different memory sticks for its video cameras, compatible maybe with who knows what, another converter to buy and carry. Meanwhile, no matter whether I turn off the wireless, the Sony feels compelled to keep warning me that my wireless is not connected. I'm through with Sony forever. Customer Rating: Summary: Price Value Excellence Comment: Bought this laptop for my stepdaughter, who will be paying off student loans for the next 15 years. I couldn't believe the value for the price when I saw it on Amazon! She's extremely happy with the laptop, and I'm happy I could help (thanks to Amazon) Customer Rating: Summary: Great product but too much AOL crab on it Comment: The computer is great, really fast and great value for it price, but it comes with a AOL troyan that get into the homepage in internet explorer witch is really anoen...
