Summary: Timex
Comment: I bough this watch for my son. It look like a replica of the Timex Disposable U.S. Army Military Field Watch, just missing the H3 logo (for Tritium). It's very light, the wrist band is soft and confortable. A cool watch for the price and the 8-year battery life, but i think it is more kids and young adults oriented.

Summary: Best little watch I have owned in while
Comment: ok so - theres the Swatch Skin, the Toy Watch (although mine is a citizen from Italy) and then the Timex Casual. Everyone thinks that you need to spend thousands of dollars to have a great watch...no way buddy, this watch is awesome, its elegant, its light, comfortable and its one of the best watches I have owned in a long long time. GET IT!!!!!

Summary: CHEAP-O WATCH. GOOD FOR KIDS.
Comment: Well, upon getting this watch in the mail, I was surprised to find that it's made of plastic, not metal. That means it's light. Like, you can barely feel it in your hand.
The watchband is thin and cheap, and the buckle is cheap, stamped metal. The watch face looks good, but also looks somewhat like it's made of cardboard if you really inspect it.
Also, it's really more of a brown color than green or olive. And you can't wear brown with black clothes unless you want to look like a goober.
This is a great watch for a little kid. It's got a small dial, easy-to-read numbers, it's light-weight, etc. But for an adult? Get a real watch! I'm going to return mine.

Summary: Just a very cool watch.
Comment: Let's face it, this is just a very cool watch. I mean, just look at it. Straight-forward, no-nonsense, and easy to read. Nothing techno-geeky about it.Timex produces a number of such watches that are an ideal choice for outdoor activities. They are durable, resistant to the elements, and if they are lost it's no big deal. And is anyone going to rob you for a watch that costs less than $30? If they do, so what? Something to keep in mind if you do a lot of travelling.
On the practical side, I find nylon and leather watches straps to be far more comfortable than metal-link bands under most situations. Particularly when out all day in the sun.
There is a time and a place for watches that are essentially jewelry. But when travelling or in the outdoors it's nice to have a watch that is comfortable, absolutely dependable, and something you're not at all worried about.
