Summary: Sweet!
Comment: After having rec'd and unpacked my new Eee PC 1000H I ran it through several chores in which the little Asus was sweet!
Fast boot time and after allowing it to download all new Windows updates I tried out some of the various programs. I bought the 1000H mainly as a carry along word processor because I do a lot of writing and a small, easy to tote, computer would be idea for me. Well, I had wondered about the keyboard size but was plesantly surpised to find that I could touch type with ease on the 1000H!
However, the keyboard does have a flexing that is a bit unsettling but it stills performs well after getting use to the flexing.
I hooked an external dvd/cd drive and loaded my MS map to it with no problems at all. I also tried out a DVD just to see how it performed and it did great--sound and picture were very good!
All in all, this in one sweet little travel companion! If the keyboard didn't have the flexing I would have given it 5 stars.
Also the battery life has been exceptional. A great machine for the buck!

Comment: The product is great, is everything that you can hear about it, it's small, light(not too much but indeed is light), and its not slow, I tough that because this is a low end processor, it will be slow, but I was Wrong, It s just perfect for Email, web browsing, IM, some office duties and Portability(great!)
This is Smaller than a A4 sheet of paper, it fits anywhere and you can take it with you everywhere.

Great Multitouch feature, it is one of my favorites, Its just cool.
Compared to other Netbooks, the Keyboard is very good.
Nice Wifi, Its Next Gen Wifi, WIFI N
A Very Good camera, 1.3 Megapixels

Summary: Asus EEE 1000h 80g
Comment: I've only had this for a couple days - but I'm really impressed with it so far. I wanted a small, light, low cost, high quality, laptop for internet and simple windows applications. That is exactly what I got. As others have commented - the screen is very, very good with fantastic brightness. The overall build quality is also very nice - it does not feel like a toy. The keyboard is a bit small (no surprise there) and will take a bit of an adjustment - but I think that will go away as an issue with a little time. Battery life varies with a number of factors - but it has reported over 6 hours with optimized settings and seems to generally be quite good. The wireless internet works well - no problems connecting in a couple different places on a recent trip.
In short - I'd buy it again if I had it to do over.

Summary: Very nice
Comment: I am very glad I got this computer. It is simply beautiful to look at and handle, and is very smart looking. It comes with a very nice travel protector.
The price is very reasonable and its capabilities are good. I like that I did not have to load up on extra accessories, and that I got a fully functioning computer for the straight price.
It does not take long to get up and running every time you turn in on.
I loaded up all of Microsoft Office with no problem. I got my wi-fi fixed up for home (though you should not expect to piggyback onto somebody else's wi-fi signal because it is not secure).
The battery, however, is good for three hours, and not seven since that is exactly what the little indicator says = 3 hours. I was hoping for that six/seven hours that was promised.
All in all, it is doing exactly what I intended, except for the wi-fi in downtown San Francisco.
And I love the 80 gigs of RAM.
