Sharp and sophisticated with a luxurious finish and detailed craftsmanship, the KRZR K1m is the definitive handset for those who have an appreciation for cutting edge designs. In addition to great design, you get Bluetooth wireless technology, an integrated music player, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and support for MPEG4 video capture and playback. Verizon customers, your new phone has arrived.

Behold the KRZR K1m. See a 360 demo (requires Flash). The phone supports Verizon Wireless' amazing V Cast service, including V Cast Music. Learn more about V Cast Music (requires Flash).
Design
Reflecting the design language of the super-slim RAZR line of handsets, the KRZR K1m exudes pure luxury with clean lines, precision detailing, and premium materials shrouded within a distinctive metallic gloss front finish. A 1.9-inch color screen on the inside of the flip brings images and videos to life, while a small supplementary color display on the outside cover keeps tabs on incoming call information, and more. The 1.3-megapixel camera is housed above this display. Below the outer display, you'll find unique touch-sensitive music controls. The KRZR K1m features an internal antenna, so there's nothing to snag or break off, and a MicroSD slot adds ample storage space to store content. A mini USB port is provided for data synchronization.

Calling Features
From L.A. to Lisbon, the KRZR K1m connects you effortlessly with friends, family, and your favorite content. The phone supports voice activated dialing, as well as Bluetooth wireless headsets, so you can cut the wires and talk hands-free. Polyphonic ringtones are supported, and there's a speakerphone for those times when you want to talk while doing other things. Picture and ringer IDs allow you to set photos and ringtones to identify incoming callers. Lastly, The KRZR K1m's embedded GPS location technology can pinpoint your exact location when you dial 911.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
The KRZR K1m supports all the messaging tools you need, such as MMS, SMS, EMS, and IM messaging capabilities. Use the phone's camcorder to send and record 15-second videos of just about anything. And because the KRZR K1m supports Verizon's getFLIX program, you can send video messages from your phone to an email address.

With support for the EV-DO high-speed data standard, the KRZR K1m is fully compatible with Verizon's V Cast service. With V Cast, you can download and stream high-quality video. Need news and weather? Get the latest Accuweather forecast delivered right to your handset, or stream CNN news headlines. ESPN sports updates, entertainment news from E!, and even Sesame Street content for the kids, are all available. V Cast also serves as a portal for enhanced 3D games, allowing you to have more fun with a new breed of realistic titles.

Verizon's music service is another EV-DO-powered service that makes the KRZR K1m all the more desirable. With V Cast Music, your phone is a music player, letting you jam out wherever you are. It's also a music store, and you can download songs instantly to your phone wirelessly. Save your songs to a memory card with a capacity that's right for you. You can even pause to take a call without missing a beat.

The KRZR K1m ships with a number of handy tools including an alarm clock, a calculator, a calendar, and a voice recorder. It supports the Sync ML data synchronization standard over Bluetooth or USB.

If desired, the onboard GPS feature can do more than give your current location to emergency personnel. The KRZR K1m is fully compatible with Verizon's VZ Navigator service, a feature that provides all the bells and whistles of an advanced navigation system on your mobile phone at a fraction of the price of other GPS devices and systems. The VZ Navigator service provides heads-up, voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions (with auto-rerouting if you miss a turn), local search of nearly fourteen million points of interest (POIs) in the United States, and detailed color maps that can be quickly panned and zoomed. With VZ Navigator, you'll know where you are, know what's around you, and know how to get there fast (additional Verizon charges apply). Lastly, the KRZR K1m is chaperone capable, that means you'll always know where the user is, be it a child, a baby sitter, or a teenager on her first date. And because the KRZR K1m is chaperone parent capable, you'll be able to define a zone or a specific area, such as a school or summer camp, and when your family member enters or leaves the zone with their handset, Verizon will automatically send an alert to your phone with the time and location of your family member's handset.

Imaging and Entertainment
Fusing superior form with rich functionality, the KRZR K1m houses a host of premium multimedia features. The ultimate all-in one device for extraordinary imaging, the phone lets you capture your latest jaunt to Cape Town via the 1.3-megapixel camera, or via video capture and playback capabilities. And don't forget that with a removable MicroSD card slot, there's always room for all your favorite music files. The phone supports playback of music in AAC, MP3, and AAC+ formats.

Summary: This phone is good BUT
Comment: I had this phone since Feb. I have the white one with the mirror plate. It's a good phone, has good sound, good reception and a decent camera BUT it isn't the greatest phone. The finish on my keypad is already wearing off as well as the silver finish around the mail screen. The inbox fills up FAST, the warning message is a little annoying.

Summary: Nice but..
Comment: This was the last phone I had with Verizon before I switched to a different service. I bought a clear protective cover, but when I dropped the phone the case broke. Then I bought a new clear cover and the same thing happened. The phone was really nice, I really liked it, until i dropped it once after giving up on the protective covers, and the front of it fell flat on the floor. It cracked in a weird tree-like pattern, and after that it was just sad to look at. Other people said the crack made it look more original. Afterwards every time I saw someone with that phone, they had cracks in theirs too, all in weird little tree designs. Just make sure you don't drop it, and everything will be fine.

Summary: Worst phone I've owned
Comment: I got this phone at the same time I switched service from AT&T to Verizon. I'm happy with Verizon as far as customer service, etc., but I wish I'd never laid eyes on this phone. Previously, I owned a RAZR, so I thought, "This is Motorola too, and will be as great a phone as that was." Not so. The signal reception was extremely inconsistent, and it has trouble picking up anything in my apartment. I'd had some trouble with that before, because of where I live, but nothing like this. I had to stand by my bathroom window to get a decent enough signal to make calls, and even then it frequently lost calls. Other friends with Verizon don't have this same issue, so I know it is the phone.

Also, the battery life is far shorter than advertised. I got the battery replaced, because I was charging twice a day (or more, if I used it often), and even the new battery had problems. And, it randomly shut off or froze up for no apparent reason.

When I finally gave up and went to the store to get a new phone (three months into my contract) the woman beside me at the customer service counter said she'd had similar problems with her daughter's phone, and brought it back for a replacement so many times they gave her a free upgrade. I didn't have the time to mess with that so I just paid for my upgrade, but the extra money is worth never having to use this phone again.

Summary: Happy with the KRZR Red
Comment: I have had this phone since the beginning of March and I have really had no problems with it. I was a little leery of getting another Motorola because the one I had froze up all the time when my text messages needed to be erased. So far I haven't had that. The slim design and nice color really attracted me to the phone and then I did some reading of reviews on the phone. Most people seemed very happy with it so I took and chance and ordered it on my New every Two plan from Verizon.

Some issues that I have noticed is the battery life can last for about 12 hours one day and then it could last for a few days after I charge it. The only other thing I noticed is every once in a while I do get an echo when I am talking on the phone with someone but it could just be the connection. The echo maybe has happened once or twice and I have called the people back with no issues. I would definitely recommend this phone to people.

Summary: Terrible Phone!
Comment: I've had this phone since Sept. 2007 and have already replaced it THREE times. My sister also has this phone (since January 2008) and she has replaced it TWO times. My coworker has had this phone since Oct. 2007 and she replaced it TWO times with the same phone, then replaced it with a Samsung! Depending on which Verizon store you deal with they'll either replace it with another bad KraZr or send you away. This phone just turns off when it feels like it, freezes up mid-text or mid-call, etc. I even wrote to Motorola...they say it's the battery, but it's HIGHLY unlikely! Don't buy it!!
