Customer Rating: Summary: Very SHORT, but fun! Comment: Overall, the game took me about an hour and a half to finish. It is really fun while it lasts actually, unlike what other reviewers have said. You find 10 missing items outside, 10 items on the first floor, and 10 items on the second floor (NOT 10 items total) while talking to people and interviewing them. It is really short and not worth the money, but you can just re sell it on here for probobly most of what you paid for it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Dissappointing, try before you buy. Comment: I am a huge fan of the PC games... I have all of them except the last 2 that have come out. I had made a venture and bought a nintendo ds.. and was delighted to know that there were nancy drew games for it. This was the first game I could find, so I grabbed it. Imagine my dissappointment when I completed it in 20 minutes. I couldn't beleive how simple it is, and there is only 1 puzzle at the very end. The only other thing you do is search for "lost items" that people have given you their lists for.
I wanted to completely give up on the Nancy Drew DS games.. but I've done some research and the other 2 games are more like the pc games. I would try this one before you buy it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worst ds game since Puppy Luv Comment: Wow You have 10 items for Nancy Drew to Find and 10 for the other guy in the game, Talk about Boring Please don't dissapoint anyone and buy them something else
Customer Rating: Summary: Stick to the Nancy Drew PC Games Comment: Having played and enjoyed the Nancy Drew games released for the PC, I was happy and excited to try one on the DS.
Unfortunately, this game is nothing like the engaging and clever PC games. The game consists of exactly 3 'puzzles': a simple hunt and click (which requires no skill, just an ability to move the stylus around the screen), a random go up the stairs game (again, no skill required), and a press the bricks game which is again very simple.
The mystery is laughable and none of the characters are developed -- how could they be? The game can be beat in about 30 minutes. There is no plot, no skill required, and very little at all to do. This game is a complete waste of money.
Customer Rating: Summary: appropriate for younger gamers Comment: I was disappointed that it was (again) not anything like the Nancy Drew computer games. The graphics are excellent. My two young nephews (6 and 4) who enjoyed the Nancy Drew movie will like the game a lot. They both love I Spy and wanted to play a Nancy Drew video game. This one is easy enough for the 6 year old to navigate and for both of them to find objects. For this reason, I am giving the game a rating of 4. It is one of the first games that I've bought for my DS that we could all play.
