Summary: I like Kindle
Comment: I like Kindle very much. It is better then regular book on subway train. I spend more than two hours on subway train every work day. This is my main reading time. When stand in the crowed train reading Kindle, one hand is enough (when turn page for regular book, I need two hands). When it is too dark to read the regular book, I still can read Kindle.
The Kindle is expensive. But it is not expensive compare with other kind of electronic devices. And the reading materials for Kindle are cheeper than regular books.
I get reading material faster and easier than get regular books. I have space problem to hold my books, but no problem for Kindle. I have difficult to find out a book from hundreds of piled books in my room, but search any article on my Kindle is easy.
The selection of reading materials for Kindle is very big.
I hope there are some (or more) Chinese reading materials for Kindle.

Summary: eReader with a hook
Comment: The Kindle is one of many similar devices available. The hook that sets it apart from the rest, for me, is the ability to download a free sample of just about everything available for purchase. One can sample a new author without incurring any expense and if you like what you read you can then buy the full copy. No other device that I know of offers that option. The wireless connection is also unique I believe and an excellent feature but at least for me it places second behind free samples.

Comment: I would highly recommend the Kindle to any avid reader. The selling point for me was the ability to change the font types. There are six different fonts available and this device is extremely easy to use.

Comment: This is Amazon's electronic reader. I bought one for my wife but then tried and and had to buy another. The screen is clear (although no backlight) and battery life is exceptional. The choice of books is very good. All the add ons like the dictionary and notes function are handy. Finally, your electronic library can be stored either in Amazon or with an SD card. The device also has rudimentary web functions. Download speed of books is exceptional. All in all this is a very handy device.
I used it last week on a business trip with lots of flights and never had to recharge it.
One university I know is testing it as their textbook source. That gives you an idea of their confidence in it.

Summary: Kindle is my friend
Comment: Don't know how I ever did without it. Have been an avid reader all my life. I never give my books away. I own very few books I have read less than twice, many I have read 3 to 4 times. I often compare one author's view in one book to another's in a diff book. This is so simple with Kindle. I only wish Kindle had been available years ago and all the paper books I have collected over the years were on my Kindle. Now let's get all titles available on Kindle.
