Customer Rating: Summary: All I will ever need Comment: Wanted a mouse I would not be aware I'm using. This is it. It does what its supposed to do without drawing attention to itself. Purchased this mouse as a replacement for a new, fancy $60 mouse that was so frustrating to use I wanted to throw it against a wall. For what I do with a computer, a simple mouse is a good mouse. I hope this product is never improved.
Customer Rating: Summary: Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical Review Comment: This mouse is a great mouse, period. The price was low and it worked great. I replaced another mouse I had where the optics went bad and the cursor was all over the screen. Plugged this one in, problem solved.
Customer Rating: Summary: Well-made, lightweight, great shape Comment: I spent a great deal of time reading reviews of all the available optical "mice". I was prepared to spend whatever was necessary to get just the right mouse, too... so this Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse wasn't chosen because it's low-priced. I chose it because it had a high percentage of positive reviews both on Amazon and on other sites. I'm not a big gamer per se (I leave that to my son), but I do play a bit online so I didn't want to buy the slowest mouse on the market. I also didn't want a notebook size mini mouse... but I am a woman and so I didn't want a mouse that fits well in Paul Bunyan's hand but not in mine. I really like the lightweight aspect of this mouse and the size is just right. It has a graceful curve to its shape that makes it a bit more streamlined (and therefore fits my hand better) than the beer belly mouse I'm replacing. And after much consideration, I opted for this standard 3-button mouse rather than a 5-button. I wanted the possibility of those added buttons... but I know me... and those extra 2 buttons are right where I rest my thumb on the mouse. I have no doubt I'd be accidentally clicking buttons with my thumb constantly. So I decided less was more and chose the 3-button. That gives me a left-click, right-click and a wheel that serves as a button, too. With that wheel button, I programmed it for the one extra web-surfing button I've always wanted: a back button. So I'm a happy camper. This mouse has great control, flies across the screen with enough speed that I can play my games, is a comfortable fit for a woman, lightweight, and nicely constructed. An excellent mouse for $20.
Customer Rating: Summary: New Mouse in the House Comment: For some reason my wireless mouse that I received as a gift for doing a survey gave out on me. It had been working but used a lot of batteries and when it gave up completely I had to dig out my old one and connect it to my computer. I was lost without a good mouse in the house where I could order a new one from Amazon.com.
On Amazon.com and I found [[ASIN:B0001LTT5K Logitech Optical Notebook Mouse Plus (USB)at a good price and ordered it. I was not sold on the wireless one so found one that will be connected to my computer. It arrived in two days and I am happily working away with my new mouse. It has a bright red light on it so I know it is always alive and ready to go to work.
Great buy and reliable.

Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent grip; accurate, reliable mouse Comment: I've owned and used two of these mice daily since 2002, and they continue to be my favorite mice of all time (and this comes from years of trying various sizes of mice by Microsoft, Logitech, LG, Kensington, and Apple). Granted, this is not the most stylish of the mice in existence, but it's surprisingly comfortable.
The the wheel rolls comfortably, the clicks feel solid, the plastic surface isn't glossy (so it doesn't collect grease, and feels more natural, or as natural as plastics can feel).
And the size is large enough for your hand to rest comfortably (I can't stand notebook mice in extended usage). The grip is perfect - your thumb and pinky don't feel awkwardly squeezed together, as I feel happening with notebook-sized mice. Our household has both lefties and right-handed people using the mouse just fine.
The cursor movement is consistently smooth with this mouse (as I've seen through years of shooter games, real-time strategy games, and Photoshop/Illustrator work).
I've used it on Windows XP since 2002, and on Mac OS X since 2007, and it works beautifully in both cases. This mouse is a keeper.
