Summary: Far Superior to Original Band
Comment: Without question this band is superior to the OEM leather band supplied by Suunto. I agree it feels like leather and personally I think it is more ellegant. I've had it in the pool with me on my daily swim and it dries amazingly well. It also doesn't retain odor like the leather band did.
My original band was cracking so badly that I had no choice but to order a new band for the eventual break down. They were back ordered for almost three months, but now that I have it, I would probably buy one right off the bat to replace the original one.
I realize that often times these testimonials are ginned up by someone who works in marketing, but as one Amazon writer/purchaser to another, this is well worth the money. If you have the original, you know what I'm talking about and you can't go wrong.

Summary: Excelent strap !!
Comment: First, It seems like a leather strap. After my last race, days into deep and wet fields, the strap looks new. It is a really waterproft product. I recommend.
