Summary: How did I like my camera without this?
Comment: I'm really just writing here to echo everything everyone else has said about it making the camera easier to hold.
I have a mid sized lens on the camera most of the time and I feel like Im just holding the lens with a little camera stuck on the back of it.
With this grip I am much more comfy holding the camera body itself with both hands.
Battery life is a bonus naturally... especially with IS.
Biggest drawback for me is that the camera will not fit in the holster case that I recently bought and I really loved that holster. Sigh.

Comment: Very easy to install. I used a similar grip on my Canon A2 for years and found this was a "must have" when I got the Rebel digital.

only a battery grip. My photography teacher recommended me buying the
canon BG E3 since he had tried a third party version that didnt work so

Comment: If you are planing on taking a lot of shots, this is one accessory that you want to add to your camera.
It comes with two inserts, one holds 6 of AA batteries, and the other will hold two of the in-camera batteries.
The grip has good ergonomics and well constructed.
