Summary: Samsung Extended battery

Product does not seem to have an "extended" battery life. Purchased to replace 2 standard batteries that were losing full charge from a 2 minute phone call. After replacing, do not seem to really get that much more life. Possibly something with the phone, although all power management settings are set to turn the phone off to conserve life.

The phone is now little thicker, but still very comfortable. Actually, the phone now has a more uniform thickness, about the thickness of the camera throughout, and it feels easier to hold.

Comment: I love the Blackjack, but was beaten down by the poor battery life. Since upgrading to this battery, the Blackjack can last a couple of days without charging. Previously, the battery lasted around 4 hours in constant use.

Comment: The original batteries to the Blackjack are pretty marginal; this battery lasts much much longer, and the case fits well. The profile of the phone is thicker, and it is heavier, but I did not find this problematic. It is a bit annoying to have to pay extra for this battery- Samsung should really include a battery with a decent lifespan in the original package.

Summary: A MUST for a Blackjack owner!
Comment: I really debated about buying the Blackjack simply because I'd heard negative things about the battery life of the phone.
That being said, I found that if I left the Bluetooth off, it helped.
But this battery makes all the difference. My last trip, I was sitting in the airport and checking email for hours, talking to people forever and the battery only hit the halfway mark. With the regular battery, I would have had to resort to the backup battery.
It does add a little bit of thickness to the phone but not that much. Basically, the thickness of the camera section becomes the thickness of the whole phone. It still fits in my case.
I'd definitely recommend this battery and cover.
