Summary: Works fine on my windows computers, but scanner has issues on the Mac
Comment: If you are buying this to use as a scanner for a Mac, expect to have some extra trouble. The disc that they provide contains some antiquated software that does not seem to work with current versions of the Mac operating system. I have yet to be able to successfully scan on the Mac. I ended up putting it on my windows computer and sharing for printing.
On a Windows machine this is a great product. I've had no problems with it. It both scanns and prints great. I am quite happy with it.

Summary: Good value, not too fast.
Comment: I picked this up at a Target store. Like the previous reviewer, watch out for the lack of black ink. I noticed on the top of the box at the last second. For what I print (school work), the quality is just fine. It is not the fastest printer but is more than suitable for most jobs. So far no complaints, I just hope the ink doesn't run out too fast.

Summary: Average ink jet printer at a good price <$40
Comment: The HP D2530 is just your average ink jet printer, and at $39.99, with free shipping, it is a good value. My only complaint is that it came with only the tri-color cartridge; no black cartridge included. The tri-color cartridge does, however, print in a light, almost brown, black. For less than $40 what do you expect? The reality is that HP and the other manufactures earn their profit on the ink and lose on the printer itself.
