Summary: A good mouse until the receiver breaks
Comment: This mouse has excellent features and is ergodynamic. I would give it 5 stars, except the receiver is very delicate and virtually impossible to replace. Mine broke when I was putting my laptop into my bag and left it in its USB slot, which I had done before. I was unaware when the receiver broke off. Since that time, I have been unable to find a replacement and my poor mouse sits unused. Logitech has also been no help in getting a replacement receiver, which it has for other models and prices at 10$.

Comment: I PURCHASED THIS MOUSE FROM AMAZON AND WHEN I RECEIVED IT, IT WOULD NOT WORK. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEW ONE BUT IT HAD BEEN OPENED FROM THE HARD PLASTIC CASE THAT IT CAME IN, AFTER TRYING TO USE IT IT WOULD NOT WORK SO I CALLED LOGITECH ABOUT IT AND THE TECHNICIAN DECIDED THAT IT WAS NO GOOD, SO THEY SENT ME A BRAND NEW ONE THAT DID WORK AND I LOVE IT. HATS OFF TO LOGITECH BUT I CAN'T SAY THE SAME FOR AMAZON.

Summary: What a difference!
Comment: After reading a bunch of reviews, I went with this one. Now maybe I'm confused and I thought someone said the dongle could be stored in the MX620. Not mine. I got it from Amazon this week.
A major feature was the battery life of 1 year or maybe more (if you turn it off with the on-off switch on the bottom of the mouse.
The feel is certainly right-handed only... And the buttons are great.
I had no problem downloading Logitech software for the Mac. The search button came default spotlight. I switched it to Google. What a cool switch!
After trying the scroll wheel in 'click' and free wheel, I went back to free wheel. It does "bounce" a little, and I think I will learn to control it.
I can see where someone using a mouse all day would Love This Rodent!
It did work on plugging in (no sync required). I was able to use it to get the Mac software. I don't think the search button will work without the software. This feature alone made it worth it to me.

Summary: I MEAN !!! for ANY OS cept...Apple if you don't know what's up.
Comment: I tell you what...this mouse has done every thing I've ask of it..for 3 years on many OS's I want you to note that the blatant majority of less than four stars is all mac owners...too bad...get a real Linux! If you get this mouse you will never be sorry and if you decide to "OWN" Linux as an OS the learning curve is vertical but when you look back you will only say "OMG"...why did I ever use anything else...(blatant plug for the only OS worth suffering through)...(windoze user for 16yrs till vista stuck it in me)
