Summary: Lousy product
Comment: I paid some $$ for these ear buds because I couldn't get anything not Blackberry brand to work for my blackberry pearl. Sadly, these were as cheaply made as my Pearl, so the sound quality was flat and they didn't stay in my ears.
If you have not yet bought a Pearl, then don't. Poor durability (and I'm easy on phones) and it interferes REALLY loudly with any audio device. I am equally disappointed that bluetooth headphones are not any option for this phone because the Pearl doesn't use the new technology that most, if not all, of the stereo headphones do.

Comment: Excellent for the price. I paid $8. They sound great but constantly fall out of my ears. They lasted maybe 9mos before the left side stopped working. But hey, only $8

Summary: Works great, for awhile
Comment: This headset worked great for months, then, just like my original headset, it started to short, snap, and echo. A few days later it was completely dead.
I need to find something sturdier.

Summary: BB headset
Comment: This headset from BB is the only one I found to work with the Pearl. It does works well and it' nice to be able to listen to music and have it pause to allow a phone call to be answered. Many times I don't have my Ipod with me and this is a good alternative. The quality of the sound is not as good as some better headsets but it's not bad either.

Comment: Standard earpieces for my 8830 do not work. (they don't cut off the speaker on the phone) This is a non-standard headset which works for the 8830. My only complaint would be the design of the cord since there are unequal lengths of cord for the right and left earpiece. I don't know why a company would make headsets with unequal cord lengths. It just leaves you with extra cord on one side unless you have a 2 ft wide head. Several companies do this with their headsets and the logic escapes me. It works fine though and that's the main thing.
