Customer Rating: Summary: Buggy Software and Lame Tech Support Comment: If you are planning on using this as a networked printer you might want to look to another brand. The printer itself is fine but the HP Networking software is buggy and causes error messages when you shut down Windows (both XP and Vista).
I tried the Email support and went round and round with them. Their solution was to uninstall then reinstall the software. When that didn't work, their next suggestion was to uninstall then reinstall the software. When that didn't work they had me download a software update, then uninstall and reinstall the software. When that didn't work....do you detect a pattern here?
They can't even tell me how to assign a permanent IP address for the printer USING THEIR OWN SOFTWARE!
Customer Rating: Summary: HP sux Comment: I got this printer for free with my computer. I should've haggled and made the computer store pay me to accept it. Yeah, it's that bad. It takes too long to print, cartridges are costly and don't have any longevity. The software package is frustrating to use. My last HP printer sucked too. Are there any good printers out there?
Customer Rating: Summary: Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing... Comment: While it actually does work with my Mac, I've had nothing but trouble with this printer since I got it. The reason I bought it was to print CD's and DVD's. That's a nightmare, if you can get it to do it at all. I constantly have to realign the print-heads and clean the thing and every single time I go to print, it tells me I either have a paper jam or no paper at all! Can't afford a new one and the warranty is worthless, so I guess I'm stuck with it...
Customer Rating: Summary: Excelent Printer Comment: This printer works very well and I receive an excellent product for a reasonable price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not quality printer Comment: I used an Epson R200 for 2 years and print too much better than this printer. I will return it tomorrow to the store and buy another EPSON printer. If you want to print CD/DVDs use EPSON, if you want to print photos use EPSON, if you want to print plain paper use EPSON.
