iPod touch features the same multi-touch screen technology as iPhone. Pinch to zoom in on a photo. Scroll through your songs and videos with a flick. Flip through your library by album artwork with Cover Flow. Watch your movies, TV shows, and photos come alive with bright, vivid color on the 320-by-480-pixel display. Browse the web using Safari and watch YouTube videos on the first iPod with Wi-Fi built in.

Customer Rating: Summary: Itouch magnificent Comment: Great product and have not had any problems. I saved fifty bucks and couldn't be happier. Thanks for the itouch.
Customer Rating: Summary: Ipod touch keeps crashing Comment: The software on this thing is extremely buggy and will crash if you try and do anything, even just listen to music. Several times a day it crashes on me, more if i even think about getting on the internet.
When it crashes sometimes it will just freeze the screen and stay like that for hours until the battery dies and i have to recharge it. I went to the apple store, hoping to get it fixed, and the "geniuses" at the bar told me to just wait for the new firmware. Well i paid ten dollars to update my firmware and now it crashes even more frequently.
i cannot in good conscience recommend this device to anybody else.
Customer Rating: Summary: Obsolete even before it arrives Comment: As other reviewers have noted, this is a beautifully designed, sleek, highly functional product.
However, as noted in the fine-print above and on Apple's website, the iPod Touch is being sold with firmware (1.1.5) that was replaced by a new version (2.0) two months ago.
Mine arrived 12 hours ago, and instead of enjoying it, I have spent much of that time on the phone with Apple trying to understand how I can buy a brand-new product and receive one WITH OBSOLETE FIRMWARE and then be asked to pay an additional $10 to "upgrade" to the firmware that was released two months before I bought the product.
I find this entirely unacceptable and unprecedented, and it has fully tarnished the image of Apple Inc in my mind.
So for $10, instead of feeling good about my new iPod, I am feeling bitter about the obnoxious company that sold it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Why buy this when a new generation it's coming? Comment: Rumor has it that an improved I touch will come in September. Better wi fi, better battery life, better price-capacity relation and they say it will have GPS and may be a mic or a camera included.but the better part is that, for sure, prices will drop in the average of 100.00 or more. So This is a waste of money. At this price!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great except for Wi-Fi and battery life Comment: I really like this little device, despite it's drawbacks. I did buy it mainly for music but having all of the other tools is also helpful. The battery life doesn't last nearly as long as it says, I usually have to charge it once a day. Thankfully it doesn't take long to charge.
My big beef is the Wi-Fi. It says it connects to the network but when I try to do anything that requires internet, it "Can't find server." I was able to connect at one location, however at home and work (the two places I'm at the most) it will not work. After researching the Apple support forums it appears to possibly be a problem with my wireless router at home (need to update the firmware) so I'm withholding judgment until I figure out exactly where the problem lies.
